This is one of the covers that I did for Power of Valkyrie, a book I am working on for Bluewater Productions and Arcana. Inks by Peter D. and colors by WES.

Nice drawing and beautiful colors. Very crisp.
And besides the "typical" female fantasy armor (that doesn't protect from much :) ) makes her much more sexy.

Although, one thing that looks weird to me is how she holds the sword, she looks like she's wants to stab someone with that. The way she is grasping it isn't strong at all, holding a sword like that is not only hard but also dangerous, let's just say that she'll be quickly disarmed. Doesn't it look a tad bit weird to you..?
Just my oppinion, you definitely know more about anatomy and poses in drawing than me.

Possibly, she does have godlike powers so it wouldn't be that easy to disarm her. ;D. I think i was imagining her beginning to bring the sword up in preparation like " en garde" pose before attacking. It's a fairly old drawing though so I don't remember hehe.

Nice piece. Do the runes actually say something or are they just for show?

I think I just added them. Although they are real runes though =D.

According to my overly excited son this a Rune style called Futhark. He recomends you Google "Elder Futhark" as it is easyer to translate.

Here is a translator: I'm so proud of him.

Neat! Did he come up with some meaning for the runes in my image or does it still come out gibberish hehee

Gibberish (with a capitol "G").

Of the 5 columns that you can see clearly, you have the following:
(L to R & Top to Bottom)
col 1 - T
col 2 - BFVZ_ _S
col 3 - RAP
col 4 - WKU
col 5 - MWA

Hehe cool, i got one english word through randomness ;).

Hey I was wondering, what would be the best use of runes for the characters Huginn and Muninn? I may use it for a future image, but the problem is straight translation would be like thought and memory, but that would be like runic translation of a translated nordic word. Also I saw somewhere that old norse would have been hugr and munr. So would the old norse translated through your futhark translator be the correct one to use then?
